Dear Food Bank friends and family,
Please join the Community FoodBank of San Benito County Board of Directors and staff in thanking Nancy Frusetta for the work she has done over the past 18 months. Nancy came on board during the height of one of the most challenging times in FoodBank history. The pandemic placed a lot of pressure on the Food Bank staff as the needs of the community grew exponentially in a short amount of time. We wish Nancy every success in her future endeavors.
At this time, we would also like to announce that Sarah Nordwick has been appointed Interim CEO/Executive Director. Sarah has been a longtime volunteer at the FoodBank and joined the Board of Directors in 2016. Most recently, Sarah was the Chair of the FoodBank board for 2 years until in 2020, Sarah resigned from the board so that she could join the staff as Director of Outreach and work inside the organization she has such a passion for. Sarah is a native of San Benito and her experience and dedication make her the ideal candidate to carry us through this transition.
In partnership with our dedicated board, staff, and volunteers, we are confident Sarah will continue to be a great leader at the Food Bank. If you have not had the opportunity to meet Sarah yet, you will very soon and she is excited to meet you!
Finally, the Board extends its deep appreciation to the staff for their continued dedication and hard work during this transition. We look forward to many more years serving San Benito County.
