COMMUNITY FOODBANK PROVIDES GROCERIES DURING CORONAVIRUS
Community FoodBank’s marketplace on Fridays and Saturdays has been transformed into a drive-thru pickup

As an added level of precaution, Community FoodBank’s marketplace on Fridays and Saturdays has been transformed into a “drive-thru pickup.” Customers who normally come to the food bank will be able to stay in their vehicles and have bags of groceries brought to them.

Community FoodBank continues to take measures to ensure the health of our staff, volunteers and customers, by following the CDC guidelines that include hand washing and social distancing.

Our service levels will be maintained while we close our business office to the public. All questions and new sign-ups for food are served by phone or email.

Email: info@communityfoodbankofsbc.org

Please note that we are providing groceries for our current customers in San Benito County who are signed up for Community FoodBank. New customers are welcome to call the food bank to find out about qualifying.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS – PACKING GROCERY BAGS

Volunteers are essential to our operation and ability to provide food for our neighbors in need. Specifically, we are asking for volunteers to help pack grocery bags that will be given to customers. Individual volunteers are welcome and volunteer teams are strongly encouraged. Companies, groups or churches can assemble teams to come to the food bank for a few hours at a time.

Volunteers will not be working with the public and will instead be working in small groups to pack grocery bags inside the food bank’s warehouse. Personal protective supplies such as gloves and hand sanitizer are provided.

CALL FOR FUNDS – DONATE ONLINE OR BY CHECK

Your dollars make the most impact on our ability to purchase more food and more supplies. If you would like to make a positive impact on Community FoodBank’s ability to provide services, please donate online or mail your check to: Community FoodBank, 1133 San Felipe Road, Hollister, CA 95023.

CALL FOR CALM – BE KIND, BE THOUGHTFUL, BE OPTIMISTIC

Knowing that the stress of the coronavirus situation affects each of us in different ways, Community FoodBank is staying the course on our mission to build dignity, share abundance and nourish lives.

“I am amazed at how many community members have called us, stepping up to help. We’re all in this situation together. Let’s stay hopeful, stay safe and think of others. We’ll be stronger for it.”   – Maria Thomas, CEO, Community FoodBank
