Hollister, CA – After an extensive search, the FoodBank is pleased to welcome Antonio J. Mendoza as our new Executive Director, effective August 11, 2025.

A graduate of Columbia University, Antonio brings a wealth of experience in the nonprofit sector, where he was invested in by multiple competitive leadership development programs for rising nonprofit and community leaders–such as Silicon Valley Next and the Latino Leadership Alliance’s Leadership Academy and Stanford Summer Leadership Institute. Prior to joining the FoodBank, Antonio rose rapidly through the ranks of the nonprofit world in San Jose, most recently working as a program director at the Silicon Valley Education Foundation and serving as a leader on the boards of Local Color and the Latino Leadership Alliance.

Antonio brings to the FoodBank a deep commitment to stewarding an institution so important to the people of San Benito and determination to meet the challenge of extraordinary times. In July 2025 the FoodBank provided food to 25,073 individuals, over a third of the county’s 64,209 population, and the demand for the services provided by the FoodBank continues to rise. In partnership with our dedicated board, staff, and volunteers, Antonio is prepared to lead the FoodBank in serving the needs of its customers while building dignity, sharing abundance, and nourishing lives.

The Community FoodBank of San Benito would like to thank its board and staff for the continued support, hard work, and dedication through the search for a new leader. We look forward to our continued work serving the people of San Benito.
